OHI-KVM and OHI-vServer both have their advantages. Use the following quick comparisons to help you decide which is best for you.
OHI-KVM offers you a wide-choice of operating systems. With OHI-vServer, you’ll only be able to use CentOS and certain administrative functions are unavailable. For example, you won’t have access to networking configuration.
OHI-KVM provides you with Automated Scheduled Backups of your whole disk image. You can manually create snapshots or select the number of daily and weekly backups that you would like to keep and the hour you’d like them to start. You are charged the same disk rate for the space that compressed backups occupy.
OHI-KVM allows you to mount and export remote file systems, including NFS, SMB and more. OHI-vServer does not offer this feature. 
With OHI-vServer, virtualization is best categorized as separation. You’ll have native performance levels that you won’t get with OHI-KVM, which uses hardware-level virtualization.
OHI-vServer provides you with automatic backup snapshots, which are not available for OHI-KVM. Snapshots appear as older versions of your file-system under the /snapshot directory and are always there.
The OHI-vServer initial image is loaded with lots of software packages. The OHI-KVM images are minimalist, requiring that you install what is needed.
With OHI-vServer, we can add disk space and memory without shutting down the VPS. With OHI-KVM, resizing the image requires you to shut the VPS down.
